Ved och vedförråden

Västkuststiftelsen har två vedförråd med gratis ved i området.
De är placerade vid vandringsstigen en bit ifrån kanotleden. Dessa blir ibland tomma på ved.
Vill man vara säker på att ha ved med ut på kanotturen, säljer vi på Kanotpoolen även ved i säckar.

Bathing place trip for beginners (first time paddlers).
Follow the left side of Surtsjön close to land, then you will pass three bathing places with sand beach. The one at the far nothern end is Surtebadet and that bathing place is the largest. By one of the beaches you can try to practice going on land with the canoe. Paddle back to Vättlestugan close to land but on the other side. About 2-3 hours depending on how long you take a break or swim.
For others who want to experience more of the lake system, you paddle other trips.

A full-day trip is paddling to Kroksjön and back. Paddle to the right over Surtesjön and bring up the canoe by the jetty. Pull it on the wheels up the hill to Gäddevattnet. Then on through the beautiful canals. Recommended trip in our info sheet.
